New Zealand Defence Force is one of New Zealand's largest organisations which has a $2.3b operating budget and nationwide operations as well as significant offshore activities. Major structural changes have been implemented over the last three years and a significant transformation program covering functions including logistics, HR, and the Headquarters is currently in progress to enhance the organisations effectiveness and reputation locally and overseas.

The Senior Financial Analyst is part of a corporate planning team and looks broadly right across NZDF. You will ensure that financial planning processes are robust and are an accurate link to the three services. Providing expert advice on business cases and investigative financial analysis make this a varied and challenging role. Medium and long term forecasting together with scenario analysis and costing will further test your skills.

You will have a background in management accounting and an appropriate finance degree. You will also have superior communication and relationship management skills as you will be a key part in dealing with cross functional senior management and peers across NZDF. You will also have demonstrated the ability to draw insights and make connections between diverse sources of information.
