General Practitioner

Our client is a Health Centre based on the West Coast of the North Island of NZ, approx 75 minutes drive from Palmerston North and Wanganui, and provides primary health care services for 3,155 enrolled patients, and approx 3,000 casual patients/visitors annually.  
 
They are currently recruiting for a Locum GP to cover from August-September 2010.  
 
Duties will be 9 sessions with one half day off duty per week, and will include rest home visits and on call rota.  
 
Predominately a farming community, the district and town population is approximately 5,500. Being centrally located there is easy access to many of the regions and main cities of the North Island, and only one-hour drive from the ski slopes of Mt Ruapehu or boating on Lake Taupo.  
 
The Health Centre will also provide free fully furnished accommodation as well as a vehicle for the first 3 months, and some relocation expenses will also be reimbursed by negotiation.
