Telesales / Business Development - Freight

Located in Auckland Central with a professional facility and just a hop, skip and a jump from the shops and public transport. You will be based on site among the internal sales team and reporting to the Sales Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Proactively identify new business opportunities
  • Develop and build your existing accounts to a strong level where they are profitable and long term agreements
  • Ensuring you are adhering to your call cycle
  • Preparing and presenting tender documents and rates to clients in a timely manner
  • Providing market feedback to the sales team
  • Updating sales contact details in the database
  • Conduct campaigns and sales promotions
  • Follow the pricing guidelines

We are looking for someone who can win business, target new clients and build a strong rapport over the phone with new clients and foster existing relationships. Telephone business development experience is required for this role and the successful candidate will be from a freight, transport or courier organisation.
