Financial Advisor

We are a dynamic ATO organisation with a large number of personnel and equipment being continuously deployed on training and overseas operations. The NZDF finance Branch is a team of dedicated professionals who are focusing on enabling the NZDF to achieve its strategic goals and optimise its investments and use of resources. Within this team you will be pivotal in providing financial information, advice, support and training, essentially to units at RNZAF Base Auckland but also to the wider NZDF organisation.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or intermediate level practical experience in financial and/or management accounting with a medium to large organisation
• Possess robust quantitative and qualitative analytical and evaluative skills with good financial problem solving and decision making skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Have a strong level of computer literacy with spreadsheets, word processing and data management software including MS Office and SAP
• Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information to any audience. These skills will ensure you are an active team member who works effectively with others establishing and maintaining good working relationships.

An understanding of NZDF organisation and business and NZDF specific cost drivers would be an advantage.
