Technical Specialist

Our client, an internationally recognised provider of food quality assurance and biosecurity services, provides independent quality assurance to the food and agricultural sectors. They currently have vacancies in their Auckland Laboratory for Technical Specialists in both Chemistry OR Microbiology with a strong background in the Food, Meat or Dairy industry to join their team and work in a world-class laboratory environment.

This company prides itself on providing the best customer service therefore experience in dealing with customers through your strong communication skills would be important.

As a Technical Specialist in your field, you will be providing support to the laboratory on a daily basis through problem solving on regularly trending out of specification results, working on method development, method validation and method transfers.

As part of a strong customer focus organization, you would also be ready to provide solutions to clients on production processes for regular out of specification results. To be able to do this, you will be supported by a strong manufacturing/ production background.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have:

• A post graduate qualification in the relevant field

• Experience in the Food, Meat, Dairy or Pharmaceutical industries

• Experience in an IANZ (ISO / IEC 17025) accredited laboratory

• Knowledge of NZFSA Dairy, Food or Meat Standards

• 5 years experience in
your relevant field
