The Demo Room -Retail Manager & Assistant required

My client, The Demo Room is creating a new location on the North Shore of Auckland and as a result sees an opportunity to reposition the Parnell store, so are looking for an appropriate manager and assistant to help in this process. The Demo Room's unique selling pointis to give all customers the opportunity to make confident buying decisions, by allowing their ears to make that decision. Their three demo rooms allow comparisons of equipment at various price points and their technical expertise will decode the jargon and separate fact from fiction.

We're currently looking for two people, a Retail Manager and a Retail Assistant to work in this environment. Both roles require retail sales ability and will suit enthusiastic, bright individuals with an interest in music and movies. Suitable candidates will have high levels of personal energy, be passionate about delivering a superior customer experience, personally enjoy and understand high end audio/visual technology and have the business acumen to balance these desires with running a good business model.

Candidates will already have some brand awareness within this field and a desire to become brand experts of all our products and any valid competitors' products. You will have great listening skills enabling you to distil the key concerns of your customers and quickly deliver to those needs, as well as being able to identify great component combinations.

As this level of service often requires home visits, you will need to hold a valid driver's licence and be comfortable visiting customers' homes to demonstrate, deliver and install products and systems.

The Retail Manager will be the driving force behind this company, required to develop marketing strategies and execute on them. You will hold responsibility for the P&L and will need to have an organised and systematic approach.
