Our organisation provides day and residential support services to clients with intellectual and physical impairments, empowering them to lead independent rewarding lives. We have a position available for the role of Social Worker. This role reports to the Client Services Manager and is responsible for the delivery of high quality social services support needs of our clients, in accordance with our organisation’s philosophy, policies and procedures.
This role is responsible for:
• Application and implementation of Social Work empowerment models to enhance each client’s capacity for independent living with increased life skills.
• Application of appropriate and robust client support systems, in consultation with clients, family/whanau and relevant team members.
• New Client induction 
• Provide support to service delivery team with implementation of the client support plans.
• Liaison and development of healthy relationships with clients and their family/whanau.
• Liaison with WINZ and other relevant funding agencies.
 
 
The salary will be commensurate with your experience level.

Job Requirements:

This job will suit a person who has positive interpersonal skills, outstanding written and verbal communication, and who enjoys empowering people with disabilities to lead a rewarding life.
To apply for this full-time role you must be a Registered Social Worker and experience of working in a team. Current full New Zealand Driver’s License is necessary. Experience in the Health & Disability field is preferred but not essential.
