The main objectives of this role are:
  • Ensure the efficient operations of the company through the effective management of allocated contracts and assigned staff.
  • Represent the company with the client to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Assist in the development of the company as a profitable business by establishing and maintaining systems to manage projects.
Typical functions and responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all work is adequately planned, controlled and supervised to meet the requirements of the client and to meet job time and cost budgets.
  • Review the contract documents.
  • Set out projects in accordance with design and specifications.
  • Lead contract planning
  • Management of contracts and subcontracts to ensure the management of claims and variations and timely invoicing.
  • Refine contract formulation activities, systems, and procedures.
  • Liaise effectively between the tendering departments, Project Manager and key Stakeholders of the company.
  • Ensure that any account and customer inquiries which arise from work carried out by the company are attended to promptly.
  • Responsible for the performance and training of assigned staff to enable them to perform their duties in an efficient manner.
  • Drive the most efficient use of materials and staff.
  • Work as a part of the Management team to achieve the best out of the staff.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and the Electrical Act
About you:
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the Electrical industry
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Experience in managing people
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft suite
  • Understanding of the Health & Safety Act
  • Understanding of the Electrical Act

This position will work remotely but will be required to come into the office based in East Tamaki now and then.
