We are currently seeking a Service Manager to join our management team. This is a permanent full time position (80 hours per fortnight). You will be part of the wider Counties Area Management team, reporting to the Area Manager for the Counties Area. 
Here's more about the role:
The purpose of this busy hands-on role is to take overall responsibility for the effective delivery of a quality service through management of the day to day running of allocated family and residential services. This includes professional leadership, guidance and management of Support Workers and responsibility for effective management of resources in line with the policies and principles of IDEA Services.
You will have experience in:
 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Coaching, mentoring and staff management
  • Staff recruitment and training
  • Preparation of budgets and business plans
  • Strong organisational, planning, administration and implementation skills
  • Proven excellent level of computer literacy
  • Experience in managing services for people with high physical support needs or health background would be beneficial but not essential as full training and support provided

A full NZ driver's licence and clean police record is also a must for this position. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
