Job Description:

About Us

Sealord is a global seafood enterprise with a world-wide fishing, processing and marketing network. Sealord retains its home base in New Zealand and has led the seafood industry in the careful and sustainable management of fish and seafood resources. Sealord's global net spans seven continents and we deliver $500 million worth of seafood to people in more than 60 countries each year. We employ around 1000 people throughout New Zealand and more than 200 people around the world.

The role

Reporting to the FSNI KAM you will have a dotted line to the CD KAM. The role will cross over a broad remit of responsibility and tasks as detailed below, however it is envisaged that the time allocation will be approximately 35% PEL ,60% Foodstuffs Nth and 5% Crisco/ Reduced To Clear, so you’ll have your own areas of responsibility. Vendor Replenishment (VRP) management will also form a crucial part of your day to day activities.

Who we are looking for

Ideally tertiary qualified and or experience in the trade. Given the culture and environment here, we are looking for an ambitious individual who is keen to grow their career in the sales or marketing area when the time is right. This role requires someone with very strong relationship building skills - as you will be managing the relationship with a number of our customers. As part of this you’ll be an excellent listener and have an ear for opportunities. You’ll be a determined type character with a strong back, but also enthusiastic and eager to ‘win’. To really succeed in this role you’ll also need good organisational and problem solving abilities, and have strong systems skills (or at least have the aptitude to pick them up quickly).

What we are offering

Our people are the key to making us a successful New Zealand company operating in a global seafood market. At Sealord we invest in our employees with ongoing training and career development as well as succession planning and promotion from within. You will also be entitled to some of the Sealord Employee Benefits including staff discounts on Sealord products. We encourage an innovative, fun work environment and a positive culture.
