Job Description:

We are looking for a receptionist/telephonist to join our front office team. This is a fixed term position, for one year, to cover a period of leave being taken by the incumbent.
This role involves reception and telephone duties and requires a sound overall knowledge of the organisation.  In addition you will take care of travel and accommodation bookings for staff and provide cashier services to our ratepayers.  You will be the initial friendly point of contact for many of our visitors and callers from across the Southland region and beyond.
This is a key role within our organisation and you will work in a reception team of two, supported by a larger team. 

Job Requirements:

The person we are looking for is likely to have three years’ experience in a front-line role, be well presented, confident, and have sound computer skills and telephonist experience, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Being able to work in a tidy, organised fashion, prioritising work, and keeping everyone involved is also a must.  Keeping calm and patient, whilst retaining a sense of humour will also assist.  In exchange we offer a friendly, supportive working environment, with a competitive salary.
