This programme aims to introduce people to business and management practice. Some papers are available online.
Graduates will demonstrate ability to:
Discuss general management practices
Communicate effectively in the business environment
Work in a team environment
Use applied research skills
Discuss the concepts of marketing, economics and information technology from a business perspective.
Subjects offered include:
Organisation and management
Fundamentals of marketing
Introduction to commercial law
Supervisor in banking
Sales and marketing
There is an additional fee to register the papers with NZIM. The fee is $35 per paper therefore a total of $210 for the programme.
Applicants under 20 years of age require NCEA Level 2 or equivalent NZQA Unit Standards. English is a requirement, or the NZIM Certificate in Management.
Mature applicants need no formal qualifications, but should be enthusiastic and motivated.
Applicants for whom English is not their first language require a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5, or NZCEL Level 4 with the Academic endorsement.
