Basic Food Hygiene


One day training in Basic Food Hygiene - meets Council requirements. Training available in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Hindi - separate classes. Help for students in Cambodian, Vietnames, Samoan and Potguese - advise at enrolment

This one day training covers Food Hygiene - the method of handling, preparing and storing food to ensure that it is safe to eat. All food handlers need appropriate food hygiene training to ensure that you can produce safe food.


We provide this course in Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese and test papers in Cambodian, Portugese, Samoan or Vietnamese.

Food Safety (NZ) Ltd has provided training and consultancy services for many businesses since 1996. Our Food Safety and Sale of Liquor Act (LCQ) training courses are run throughout Auckland every week.

The Food Safety course is for people who handle/prepare food on a range of food premises - restaurants, cafes, bars, school kitchens, food stalls. This certificate is approved by the council and covers the theory of Unit Standard 167. We have also incorporated training on compliance with the new law that comes into effect soon (Food Control Plan).

For Sale of Liquor Training, we hold courses weekly at our office in New Lynn. This training covers Sale of Liquor Act and Host Responsibility and is required by anyone who wants to be a duty manager of premises that sell or supply liquor - for example restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, bottle stores and clubs.
