    This programme aims to provide students with general construction and maintenance knowledge.

    Content

    Graduates will:

    • Be able to safely use hand tools, power tools and machinery

    • Have knowledge of current building practices

    • Be able to discuss the use of selected building materials

    • Have knowledge of building calculation and plan reading

    Admission information

    All applicants must:

    • be 16 years old at the time the programme commences

    • be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level

    • be physically able to complete the programme specific outcomes
