CUSTOMS TARIFF INTERPRETATION (CTI) PIN MODULE 2


TRAINING COURSE - New Zealand Customs approved qualification and certificate. 'Customs Tariff Interpretation' is one of three courses required to facilitate application for a PIN to lodge electronic entries to NZ Customs.




WHO SHOULD ATTEND

If an applicant does not have at least 12 months working experience in the New Zealand Customs Broking industry, we highly recommend that they attend the 'Introduction to Customs Broking and Customs Tariff Interpretation' course prior to attending this or any other PIN course.

LEARNING OUTCOMES


Identify the nature and function of the goods to be classified.


Locate all relevant legal notes, and determine their applicability to the goods.


Apply and determine the applicability of all tariff headings, items and statistical keys relevant to the goods.


Analyse all relevant information, including explanatory notes, assess the possible options and make a decision on classification of the goods.

State and report the legal reasoning behind the classification, in a logical manner.
