Putting the World at your Feet
Established in 1963 as the International Agricultural Exchange Association (IAEA), Agriventure has many years of proven experience in providing quality programmes that offer a unique opportuninty for young people aged between 18 and 30 to travel and work within agriculture, horticulture and home management in 12 different countries around the world.
Wherever your chosen destination takes you, you will find an instant network of both fellow participants from around the world and local contacts. They will give you the opportunity, not only to work abroad, but also sample some of the real country culture, which you would never see as a tourist. As an AgriVenture participant (trainee), you will not only experience travel, work and adventure on your programme, it will leave you with an unforgettable experience and friendships that money just can’t buy.
Choose from a one country placement to an “around the world” trip, from just a few months to 15 months, Agricultural, Horticultural, Agri-Mix or Home Management placements. The choice is yours. Agri-mix/Hort-mix placements contain a percentage of agricultural/horticultural work with home management. Departure dates are generally mid-February, early April and early November but flexi programmes can depart at any time.
We'll take care of all the practical aspects of the trip, from tickets, work permits and insurance, even down to providing a flight bag for your hand luggage. You will stay with AgriVenture host families who are carefully selected and approved. Working with them on a farm or horticultural enterprise, they will offer a friendly family welcome, providing accommodation, help with training, a standard allowance, and time off for a holiday.
The purpose of AgriVenture is to:
provide an opportunity to work and experience agricultural practices in other countries
develop an understanding of lifestyle and culture of the hosting country
