Patchell Industries now employs over 80 trades staff in four fabrication and machine shop facilities and produces most types of heavy road transport equipment including a range of log transport and container handling trailers, swinglift container side lifters, stainless steel tankers and other specialised builds. The company also has abrasive blasting and painting facilities and is able to control every aspect of the equipment build from initial plate cutting to final electrical installation.
The company’s facilities are large, functional and well laid out. The workshop comprises more than 7,000 square metres featuring overhead gantries and one of the largest brake presses in New Zealand, while the design team of seven, specialising in product design and fatigue analysis, work with the latest design software.
Employees are expected to maintain a very high standard of quality in the fabrication of the company’s products and in return are offered a very reasonable pay rate that is totally dependent on individual employee’s skills and abilities as a fabrication tradesperson.
With plans to secure and grow its market share across a diverse product base, Patchell Industries is looking for highly motivated and innovative people in the heavy fabrication trades to help develop and increase the company’s market share in the industry
